Getting tested for hepatitis C is an important step in helping injectors understand risk and the changes they can make to avoid it. For those lucky enough to be still negative it provides real incentive to continue protecting themselves, for those who are hep C positive it encourages them to enter the care pathway for treatment, take steps to ensure that their
injecting equipment isn't used by other injectors and protect themselves from further infection with other genotypes.
