The injecting of crack, and injecting crack in combination with heroin
(known as speedballing or snowballing) has been increasing. This is
associated with greater increasing injecting frequency, and increased risk
of blood borne virus transmission. There is also significant potential for
increasing injecting site damage, vein damage and infections.

The Harm Reduction Works campaign resources include a booklet to help crack users better understand the risks, and how to reduce them, and a poster to discourage crack injecting.
